Dodge and Jeep dominate recent Canadian Black Book retained value awards
November 22 2021,
Dodge and Jeep have dominated recent Canadian Black Book Retained Value awards, the industry benchmark for vehicle value. The Canadian Black Book Awards have been awarded for 15 years to vehicles that retain the largest percentage of their original value after four years.
Once again, the Jeep Wrangler particularly stood out with a calculated retained value of over 87% after four years. This means the Wrangler retains 87% of its original starting price if sold after four years, a remarkable performance that confirms the Wrangler's place among the vehicles offering by far the best overall value in the industry.
In addition, the Dodge Challenger beat its long-standing rivals, the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro, finishing first in its class for retained value.
Whether we call it retained value or resale value, we want it to be as high as possible as a consumer. There is nothing worse than a vehicle that loses 50% or 60% of its value after four years.
