80,000 people took part in this year's survey, which has been conducted annually for 36 years, and answered 223 questions about their vehicle's quality over the first three months. The results were then calculated and ranked based on how many problems different vehicles and brands registered. Dodge definitely stood out, finishing ahead of Chevrolet, Ford, and GMC with just 143 problems per 100 vehicles.
The Jeep Gladiator also ranked in the study, finishing second overall in the midsize truck segment.
This study evaluates vehicles based on quality and dependability during the first three months of ownership and examine a wide range of variables including technology, mechanical reliability, and more according to J.D. Power. Compared to 2021, when there were only 161 problems per 100 vehicles, these results indicate that quality has decreased overall in the industry.
